Would you like to help children cope with common healthcare experiences, illness, or a specific diagnosis? Are you interested in helping your children learn about the body, body systems, body positivity and empathy with body differences and abilities? Healthcare Play Clinics provide opportunities for exploration, normalization, and expression through an inviting and fun approach with the aim to increase coping with healthcare environments and life experiences. These experiences aim to minimize fear, encourage healthy coping, clarify common misconceptions and promote a wider sense of empathy. These clinics can focus on general healthcare, dental care, emergency, medical imaging, body systems, diagnosis specific and more. This service includes the following: 1) A 1 hour consultation and planning session. 2) A patient exploration experience. A 1 hour experience can allow for more comprehensive exploration experience with 1 group of children. A 2 hour experience can accommodate a rotation of identified groupings of children (perfect for schools, daycare, homeschool groups, or medical / dental institutions). 3) Fees associated with program development, email/text communication, marketing, set up and breakdown of the event. Required for the event: Identified support staff from your organization to engage in the event planning, marketing, set up, and breakdown processes to ensure event runs smoothly.
